30 Best YouTube Videos About Mindset

A common thread in most current self-help content is a consensus that mindset is a powerful foundation for success. If you search YouTube to learn more about mindset you will see, if you have time, 2,180,000 results. Having researched mindset for the last two years I have seen many videos about mindset. While the list below is not an exhaustive viewing of the 2,180,000 mindset related videos I think I’ve uncovered the best of the best.

What is mindset?

There is no better place to start that at the feet of the master. Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology at Stanford University, is one of the world’s leading researchers in the field of motivation. Her research has focused on why some people succeed while people who are equally talented do not. Her team discovered that people’s mindsets play a crucial role.
The two videos in this category cover her research and give some practical application.

Mindset advice for college students

“Based on the latest college completion trends, only about half of all those students (54.8 percent) will leave college with a diploma. The rest — most of them low-income, first-generation, and minority students — will not finish a degree. They’ll drop out.”

This is costly for individuals and for colleges. There is a growing need for programs that help student retention. In a survey conducted by Learning Frames only 50% of colleges are satisfied with current solutions that address this problem. The following videos are making a bold and targeted attempt to address this urgent problem of student engagement.
